Fail to get ideas

We give up when we run out of ideas. Fairly logical, because our mind tells us that we put up a good fight, so it’s time to go back to something safe. Therefore, when we are failing to get ideas, it’s time to fail to get ideas!

The simplest way to explain it is through sports. I had to keep falling over hundreds of times to finally be able to do a handstand push up at CrossFit. The more I failed, the more ideas I got that eventually helped me to figure out the proper form.

Leadership is more difficult because it’s not just our body’s reaction; we have to account for other people’s opinions. For sometimes, we might have the right idea but the wrong audience. We can’t read other people’s minds, and at times we might even struggle reading our own. All the more reasons why we have to go with the best-educated guess and fail to get ideas that will help us find the right answer.
